The following streets will be closed from 5:30 to 7:30 pm for the parade:

  • Main Street
  • West Elm Street
  • McCartney Street
  • Portland Street
  • School Street (remains closed until 11:30 pm)

Clam Festival Canoe and Kayak Race

Canoe and Kayak Race

The race starts at Yarmouth Town Landing and goes down river, around Lanes Island, and back down the Royal River to finish. (approx. 6 miles).

REGISTRATION:

  • EARLY: $20 per person if registration is submitted by Thursday, July 12th. Please submit your completed registration to: Emma Pope-Welch, YCF Race Director, 11 Moody St. #2, Portland, ME 04101

    Racers who are already registered should arrive at least one-half an hour prior to race time to have your boat in the water 15 minutes prior to race start.

  • ON RACE DAY: $30 per person if registration is submitted on race day.
    Race-day registration begins one and a half hours prior to race start time at Yarmouth Town Landing.

Firefighters' Muster Competition

Street Closed

Main St., between York St. and School St., will be closed from 12:30 to 3:30 pm for the Muster.

Watch firefighting teams compete in events such as a bucket brigade, firefighter suit-up, and an old-fashioned hose-pull contest.

Main St. between East Main St. and West Elm St. will be closed from 8:30 to 11:30 AM for the Bike Race.

Automobile traffic on the rest of the race course will be restricted to moving in the direction of bicycle traffic, and long delays should be expected.

32nd Annual Men's & Women's Professional Bike Race

Main Street at Memorial Green

Starts and finishes on Main Street in front of Memorial Green. This is a 3.6-mile loop with one short climb — 10 laps for men (36 miles) and 6 laps for women (21.6 miles).

$1,500 in prizes and primes. Field limited to 100 per race.

Sanctioned by the United States Cycling Federation; all USCF road racing rules apply.

2nd Annual Healthy Kids Happy Kids Fun Ride

Bike Ride - Ages 4 to 12

Helmets and Bikes necessary! Training wheels welcome!

Course:
Ages 7-12: A .5 mile loop done twice for ages 7-12. Start is on Main St and goes through Cumberland St neighborhood.
Minis: Ages 4 to 6 start at Center St. and go straight taking a right at Railroad Square and finishing in front of the new pavilion.

Register at www.healthykidshappykidsme.org or at the Yarmouth Chamber of Commerce. All participants receive prizes at the completion of event and first 50 participants receive t-shirts.

Early Registration: $12 - Can be done in person at The Yarmouth Chamber of Commerce by July 16th or by Mail to HEALTHY KIDS, HAPPY KIDS, ATTN Clam Fest, PO Box 190, Yarmouth, ME, 04096
