Clam Festival to Host the 2nd Annual Battle of the Bands
Yarmouth rock bands battle to win the judges’ votes
Friday, July 17, 2:00-5:30 pm at Railroad (Village Green) Park
After its premier event last year received rave reviews, Battle of the Bands has been expanded this year to include six competing bands. The bands, consisting of Yarmouth High School students and graduates, will perform for a half hour, covering the music of their chosen bands.

Local musicians will serve as judges, and criteria will include preparation, originality, authenticity, individual and group performance quality and presentation, and audience engagement. The winning cover band will get a paid gig as the Clam Festival’s closing act, Sunday, July 19, 2:00 to 3:00 pm on the Merrill Memorial Library lawn.
Battle of the Bands is a collaborative effort between the Yarmouth Chamber of Commerce/Clam Festival and Yarmouth Community Services/Yarmouth Summer Arts Series.
